View Full Version : My updated FAQ regarding A8 brake upgrades Leszek 11-13-2000, 12:32 PM will hopefully be posted in the FAQ section soon. In the meantime check it out on my machine. Comments? Rich L. 11-13-2000, 02:16 PM Thanks Leszek. I just put new rotors on my car. The front ones were warped and a big brake kit wasn't going to work out quick enough. I wish I'd known then that the TT carriers worked and were only $100. Oh well. The S4 rears are fine for me for now. When I need new rotors, I may look into your A8 carrier trick. Pretty cool. I haven't weighted the front kit yet. Braking improvement: Distances are definitively shorter according to my G-Tech. I got 11ft of improvement over stock with the A8 kit front and rear and with 235/45R17 G-Force KDW tires. How much of it was due to tires and how much due to brakes I cannot say. I have to wait until Spring to test the brakes on the track. When I only had the front upgrade there was no improvement in fade resistance. I'm hoping that the vented rear rotors will make a big difference. |
