They were: (1) A4 had an extra inch of headroom without the sport seats in my S4; (2) better gas mileage in my A4; (3) more trunk space in my A4 b/c no space was wasted for the toolkit and space for a CD changer; (4) fog/driving lights could be left on so that they would come on automatically when I turned on the headlights; (5) A4's clutch and gear take up is smoother and easier to drive in heavy traffic than my S4; and (6) my A4 was about $14,000 cheaper than my S4.

I could have driven that A4 for many more years (it was 3 years old already) and been very happy; so I don't think there's any way I would say that it sucks. Fortunately, I could afford an S4 so I bought one.
