<center><img src="http://131.107.68.28/a4org/scor4.jpg"></center><p>Toward the front, there is a clamping sleeve type connection. At each end there is a bolt that pulls the sleeve tight. THe one shown in the picture is the original sleeve, which finally gave up awhile back.

When I replaced it, the part from Audi was different (sorry, no picture). It's essentially the same sleeve, except that it has straps around where the bolts are, and the straps are pretty thick. Since the factory exhaust was already riding very close to the heat shield, This new and thicker sleeve rides too close and rattles on the heat shield. I've tried every position possible and can't get enough clearnace so that there is no rattle. Audi no longer has the old part available, and I can't find anything similar at any of the muffler shops or automotive stores. Any ideas from all you smart people? Thanks!
