I was pulling out of my apartment awhile ago and a kid ran out in front of me, I just let off the gas so the car just used engine speed to slow down, I get back on the gas and I hear a "clunk"\

I thought it was a fluke so I did it again, let off the gas, and got back on it... clunk.

Could this just be the linkage clunking a bit? Or is this a sign of a bigger problem?

Mine was making a similar noise. 6 yrs old and 68000 miles. Replacing the mount made the noise go away for me.

Its an 01 with 42k.

It's not really hurting anything, just annoying, it didn't do it in first... Meh.
