I have the factory concert stereo.I like it but the bass response sucks. Even on songs that have just a little bass in them it sounds horrible like they are blown or out of phase. Sometimes it sound like there is no bass when I know there should be. I have adjusted the bass to max so I know that is not the problem.
Is this a common problem and should I get them replaced. The car is brand new (1000 miles) and the stereo is the only disappointment. The highs and the clarity are wonderful but the bass response it sad.
Any help will be appreciated.

I've got a 99.5 as well and the speakers just don't deliver enough all around "full" sound for my tastes. I'm taking out the 4" in the front and the rear speakers as well to replace them with aftermarket ones. I'm also adding a 10" woofer and 2 amps. That seems to be the only way (for me) to get the sound I like.

I added an amp, ran the signal from the line level outputs on the Concert head unit and it is a whole new stereo. Plenty of bass response now, also it's not only deep and solid, it's controlled and doesn't muddy up the mids when you turn up the volume. Mids and highs are now even cleaner and smoother. It was like getting a whole new stereo. The low end is really solid now.

I let them have it with a suitcase, didn't know they stick out so much.

I heard the concert sound system without Bose and it siply did not cut it, the bass is fairly accurate with some songs but it fails pretty bad on others. I don't think its worth all the money, but better safe than sorry in a nice car. Z
