Hello everyone:
As many people here in this very message board knew, my girlfriend went to Europe until December and left the 98.5 A4 1.8T for me.
Luckily, she was in Frankfurt International Auto Show too. She told me "I don't have enough time go through all makers in a single day, I have to take 3 days to complete all the makers and aftermarket sections. Really exciting".
She picked up her 99 (she told me its 99.5-like enhancements like revamped climate control, 8DIN stereo for 2000 and relocated bage) A4 2.5TDI FrontTrek Tiptronic with sports-steering wheel controls but no sports package "it looks higher than my 98.5 sports package".
She will go to Audi factory tour in Indogstat and musuem the 4th day after the auto show.
The first thing is the first week in UK is very beautiful. A lot of beautiful sights around London and Scotland, of course, a lot of nice cars around London area.
First thing of Frankfurt auto show? "I can't see the A2 maybe its first day and its one of the highlight!" I don't think she can't get an A2 brochure as expected. Her impression is the A2 is really cute and really strong, from the space flame to the door sound "thump" after a long...long waiting "seat"!
A3/S3 area is not as many people as A2, RS4 and S6. Really love the Recaros in all the Audi sports models. I really love the S3 one from the front page story maybe because its colorful. RS4 has better looking wheels than those from Audi AG press release in person, I seem to agree with her in Jason's latest photo.
Some really funny colors VW all over the VW stand. All the Boras/Jettas, Golfs, GTI, Polos and Lupos are wearing some very cute colors we won't get here in the States. Some 4Motion, 1.8T, V6 24V and Golf/Bora variants are all over the place.
Her description of the 2.5TDI is really potent for a diesel engine and its also very clean, too. The navigation system is not the trip computer type, its the over the climate control type. She thinks its extremely helpful on the way to Frankfurt. The seats are black leather interior standard seats with power controls. She drove on Autobahn at around 200 km/h which feels very safe as all Audis are.
I won't describe other cars from Bimmer and Mercedes which she saw today because its non-Audi content. She will go to another stands like Saab, Toyota, Nissan or Subaru stands tomorrow driving her A4 2.5TDI.
