Haven't these issues been beaten to death already? If you own an A4 that has the rear badges in the 'right' place and/or your dash lighting is red, just be happy. Why do you feel compelled to comment so strongly on something that doesn't even affect you?

Those who are contemplating a '99.5 or '00 A4 purchase: Aren't there a lot of more important issues to consider in your decision than these trivial matters? If it bothers you that much, just buy another car and be done with it. Otherwise, just learn to live with these changes.

Audi is the manufacturer and they can make any changes they feel like to their product. As a consumer, you have a choice of buying their product or showing your displeasure by taking your business elsewhere. Bitching and moaning to fellow A4.orgers will not accomplish a thing. At least, make your voice heard by Audi AG or AoA (if this is indeed that important to you).

Personally, I think these changes are trivial. They wouldn't impact my decision to buy or pass up an A4. Cheers!

It's not like they put in a dash from a GM car or something. Oh, no, the guages have clear white numbers just like a Honda (who's dashboards happen to be considered the best in the business by most car writers).

Everyone is entitled to their opinions about the A4 and should be free to express them here on this forum. What may seem trivial to you, may not be to others...and that's OK. Maybe you should learn to live with posts that seem trivial to you by not reading them and not posting about them.

BTW..in case anyone is interested...I like the red lighting and I would debadge regardless where they put the badges.
