Both horns on my 1996 went out. 62K -- miles. Anyone had a similar experience?<p>Ech horn is $78 plus labor - a little on trhe pricy side. Trying to get issue resulved with Audi customer service.

I took my 96Q (29k miles) in to get the sunroof fixed a couple of weeks ago. Without my request, did some work on the horns. I didn't really give it a second look. But I wonder if there was a recall and they just decided to fix it without me asking.

I know that <a href="www.performanceproducts.com"Performance</a> has three different Hella Replacement horns, the Hella Twin Supertone for $67.95 (two horn kit), the Hella Air horns for $42.50 (two horn kit), and the Hella Trumpet horn for $28.80 (two horn kit). Each of these kits supposedly fit any 12-volt car or truck and it looks like you just swap your horns and plug in the new ones and maybe change the relay (simple) except for the air horns where you have to add an air compressor. <p>Has anyone had experience with any of these? I am not sure what the A4 horn sounds like (I'll know on Saturday when I pick up my 2.8Q) but my old 94 Integra was WHIMPY, I drove up next to my Mom on the interstate and honked and she didn't even notice. <p>Kirk
