There is a 99.5 1.8TQS with tip on the lot of my
local Audi dealership. The normal 7 spoke wheels
are gone and in it's place are some very attractive
16" 6-spokes. It gives the car a more aggressive
appearance. I asked a salesman about them, but
he didn't know ****e, having just recently joined the
Audi team from Saab.

Does anyone know about these wheels ?

The wheels you saw were probably the 16 inch "Tango" alloy wheels. They cost $250 per wheels from Audi OEM accesories. They are very nice. Here is a link for them.

for the Passat. They are 17x7 ET45. Find them at vw.com under accessories. Not a bad lookin wheel.

I thought those were tangos. Does anyone know if the
cost of the set (appx $1,000) can be offset by the wholesale
cost of the 7-spokes. In OTW, if you buy the sports pkg. which
includes the 7-spokes, would a dealer feel at all obliged to credit
you the wholesale value of the 7-spokes against the cost
of the "Tango"????
