Just talked to my dealer last night and he gave me a build date of Week 36. It was ordered on Aug 3. Based on that, can anyone give me a estimated delivery date? He said maybe end of Sept. or early October. Does that sound in the ball park? Thanks!

I was told the first of second week of October, the dealer is located in Columbus, OH -- we ordered our A4 on the first of June and were given a build date of week 37.

I like your color combo!
My '00 is to be built the week of Sept 13-17 (is that week 37 or week 38?) with delivery to Denver the last week of October or first week of November.

I think that's week #39. There was another post on the forum that said that Audi doesn't start counting weeks until the first full week of the year.
BTW I picked up a 2000 brochure last night and it has a picture of the Opal Gray interior. The dashboard and door panels are Basalt Gray which is darker than the Opal. It looks sweet!!

This is week 36. I'd say early October for delivery.
I ordered mine (already allocated to the dealer) in July and it's being built next week. Kind of frustrating that you were able to order one a month later and will probably get it earlier!!
Our car IS complete. It is sitting across the Pond waiting for a boat. Dealer said it might make the boat on the 10th for a late Sept. delivery.
If not, then we should have the car mid October. Ordered the car in June. This is becoming somewhat frustrating waiting 5 months for a $25K car. I'm embarrassed to tell people when we "purchased" (ordered) the car.

Yes, the wait has been long. I ordered at the end of June and have had no car since June 1st (!)
My production week is 36 (last week I believe?) so maybe our cars will be on the same boat...

JR,
My dealer told me that the VIN number would show up on their order/production list when my car was complete. Is this true? Do you have a VIN number yet for your car?
not much worse than others

I'm a bit hesitant about asking my dealer when my 2000 1.8TQM is to be built. Any dealers out there? Does that sort of thing piss you off? I'm only 19 so I have to account for getting sub-par service.

As long as you don't hassle the dealer by calling repeatedly, questions such as build date are perfectly reasonable. Just ask him to look up the printout and let you know the production week and current status. Figure out if you have any other questions and ask them in the same call so you don't have to call back...

Dealers loving working the younger crowd that have 25k to burn on a car. Audis (Audiis, Audii?) are like drugs, get'um hooked young, keep'um hooked for life. Besides, you're paying for service. I agree with tk2x below, get the information you need from them, but don't be calling every day.

I ordered on August 17 and have since called Twice both times to see if the 2000 prices had come in yet.
