View Full Version : A4 Sports package tires...good for snow driving? Mantra 09-07-1999, 07:34 PM I believe the standard tires are mud and snow tires. How about the ones in the sport package? Just as good? DMoore 09-07-1999, 11:51 PM The short answer is no. The Z rated sports package tires are lousy in snow. The all season tires on the regular car are no bargain in the snow, either. The subject has been done to death. Check the archives. jasyn 09-08-1999, 05:04 AM NOT GOOD IN SNOW. the oe sport package should be dunlop sp8000e's. i havent had any personal experience but a few have posted unpleasant experiences with snow. goto tirerack.com and check out some snow tires. after a little bit of research and some help from the ppl here i'm gonna get a set of pirelli 210 winters(~$120/each). think of them as high performance all season tires. from what i've been told .. they don't squirm in the dry and they crunch through snow really well. 99.5 1.8tqms apr -jasyn |
