I decided today that it was a good idea to remove the airbag warning signs on the visors. The driver's side went ok, but the passenger's side mirror flap has this beautiful layer of glue now.
I tried everything in the household - ranging from gasoline, nailpolish remover, wd-40... you name it. Nada, now it's really sticky :-) Any hints?
- Stan
Have you tried this product called Goof Off...I believe it is essentially lighter fluid..but I could be wrong. I've never tried it on my car...but I do know that it works extremely well for taking off those gummy dogbone labels they use on compact discs..you know the security things. I hate those, Goof Off does the trick for me.

I asked a question about the stickers before and some products were recommended for removing the glue. I can't remember them offhand. The stickers came off my car without a problem.
Mark

I took those off of my A4 on day 1, and yes, it left a lot of glue on the visors. So, I sprayed some WD40 on a paper towel and applied it to the glue and let it soak for 30 minutes, and then took it off with some hard rubbing (no jokes).
Christian J. Long

I bought some label remover(comes in a bottle with a plastic scraper) from one
of those kitchen gadget stores. Works great on just about everything around the house, haven't tried it on the airbag labels so test it on a discrete area and make sure it won't discolor the visors. (I haven't run into any problems with it yet, just wanted to be safe) Hope this helps!
