View Full Version : Help on air filter replacement

I have a new a4 1.8T (no-Quattro) and I am attempting to replace the OEM air filter with a aftermarket filter (the German made from TAP). I am finding it very difficult to re-clip the lower air box clips. So far I have multiple cuts on my fingers (some which may require stitches) from the F******G heat sheilds, this damn air box barely moves 1 1/2" in any direction. If the new filter fits in the air box just as well as the OEM filter did, so there is not a clearence problem. Please help before I loose more blood.

There is an excellent FAQ on air filter installation. Recommend you read it before you lose any more blood!
