I just noticed on the inside of the fuel filler door that it states this car is not to be fitted a tire with a speed rating less than "V"
My car a 1.8Tquattro came with the sports package with 16" 5 spoke wheels with useless
Goodyear tires with a speed rating of "H"
I understand a rating of H is lower than V. Hmmmmm. They at least could supply the proper tires for the car or at least change the sticker! Cheap skates!
I have already changed my wheels and tires so its a bit late for me to try to complain about this.
But just a note for others.

I also noticed that on the inside of my fuel filler door that the information for tyre pressure is not in the standard "pound per sqr inch" format. It reads something like 220/225 !!
This is new to me.
JT 1.8TMs

I assume they do it to reduce claims by people driving a car with the capacity to go faster than the tire rating. The "H"-rated Goodyears on your car probably can handle the 130-mph-governed limit on your U.S.-spec car.
