Hey Everyone,
Posted this yesterday, but didn't get any clarification on the situation. Hoping with more info posted this time, someone here can help me out.
Ok. I've heard from this forum recently of three recalls for the A4. <i>(All of the following links will open a new window)</i> They are:
1. Leak from tie rod ends on the front axle.
<i>see <a href="http://www.audi.com/java/news/index.html" target="_new">link</a> to official Audi world site.</i>
2. Control valve in vacuum hose connecting brake booster to intake manifold.
<i>see <a href="http://www.tc.gc.ca/roadsafety/Recalls/recall_e.asp?recno=7664&make=AUDI&model=a4&year=&Submit=Submit" target="_new">link</a> to Transport Canada website.</i>
3. Incomplete seal on steering mechanism.
<i>see <a href="http://www.a4.org/forum/m/a4/160636.phtml" target="_new">link here to post by David Hunt on Aug 30th, who found it on the NY Times site (but you need to sign up to go in there).</i>
So are all three in need of inspection? I have a service appointment next week and would like to know what I need them to check.
Thank you very much for your help.
