I too have been lookng taillights.. I have seen clears, smoked, and the in pro smoked.<p>The clears don't look right on the pearl for some reason.. Just not right at all, IMO.<p>The smoked ones (more like BLACK) are just too dark.<p>But while I was at VW Sport a few months ago, I took a pair of the in pro smoked ones outside and held them next to the car.. looked perfect. You can still kinda see the internals of the light, but it has a lightly smoked outer lens.. It looked VERY good, IMO. I will buy a set once I get the $$.
