Did anyone ever receive an tie-down for a full size spare than actually fit the 7-spoke sport wheels? My new A4 has the one for the donut spare and the one that works with the 5-spoke. As we all know, the one for the 5-spoke has a bolt that is too short to work with the 7-spoke wheel. Do we have a part number?

I know that some people managed to fabricate a tie down of their own but I thought I remember someone actually receiving a proper part from Audi. Anyone have any info?

'99 2.8Q tip

On my '99 1.8TQM it seemed that the bolt was to short to tie down the 8-spoke 15" wheel. I figured I was just doing something wrong - for the life of me, I couldn't get it to thread.

Perhaps I have the wrong tie-down as well?

Anyone else?

Yeah, after much badgering of the dealer, I managed to exchange my short one for the longer one.

I don't recall the entire part number but it's the same initial characters as the short one with an "L" instead of either an "S" or "K" on the end. I think the longer one is 110 or 120 mm.
