I just got my free, courtesy of AoA, Audi Magazine today. In it is a VERY nice...and large, poster of the new Audi TT coupe. Well actually, there are three of them on the poster. Anyway...don't throw that puppy away...it is really very nice. It is actually close to three feet wide...about 11 inches high.
Steve S.
97 2.8QM

I think if your dealer signs up for it for their customers, and pays AoA somehow, then AoA sends it out...I think quarterly...cause I have gotten 1-2 before. I am really speculating as to how this is arranged between the dealers and AoA...but it is one hypothesis. Again, it just showed up in my mail...I didn't subscribe to anything.
Funny thing enclosed in the magazine...A little Reader Response Card asking about internet usage of the A4 owner......"You mean to tell me there is a place to research the Audi A4 - imagine that"...I think they are doing this response card to their main customers that may not be internet literate. We already know and enjoy enormous benefits from the web. I also put a note at the bottom of the card...and it said "Hey, check out http://www.a4.org and http://www.audi-tt.org". Oh my gosh...one of our customers knows about and is using "that" webpage again. :-)
Steve S.
97 2.8QM

Watch out for their service dpartment! I know their sales staff is top notch, but be sure to inspect every inch of the car after it returns. They put 2 dents in my friends A4 and put plenty of scratches in my BMW. Luckily, I saw it and they are having them repaired, but it was too late for my friend.

Since I work down the freeway a bit from Dinan's shop in Mt View...I visited one day. I got a chance to briefly talk to Steve Dinan. His relationship with BMW is a different one. He is NOT allowed to work on any other car tuning because of his relationship with BMW. It would be nice if Audi could work something out like the Dinan relationship. That kinda deal works in Australia...and in Germany (MTM for example...and what about all these D&W Performance Shops that are all over Germany and the adjoining regions?). Some day....hopefully...the Audi owners will have something similar.

Would I consider an RS4 with 400 bhp (basically an A4 tuned to the hilt)? You betcha.

while i was test driving a 1.8 a4 and he seemed like it wasn't a very big deal. He actually mentioned that another customer of his had recently chipped. But of course he may have just been trying to make the sale...

BTW, his name is Mike Hayden and I eventually bought my silver/onyx 1.8TQMS A4 from him.

If BMW sells chips for their cars at inskip, Audi probably does or should. I know DINAN only works on BMW. Afterall, I AM DrBimmer!!! :) lol.
