OK,

I have a tiptronic kit originally from AMS. There is no instuctions.

I have all the pieces in hand, plus the offical Audi wiring diagrams for the shift lock automatic and the Tiptronic transmission.

Apparently the 1997 A4 (non-tip) transmission computer is tiptronic ready. I would believe this, as in '97 the tiptonic was available in Europe but not in North America.

There is, what appears to be three extra wires that needs to be ran from the shift gate to the computer (pins 13,46 & 47).

I have had the transmission computer out and those contacts in the plug are missing. The dealer has the contacts for those blank spots.

question:

The part number for the transmission computer is 8D0 927 156L? Any ideas on this 'L' revision computer?

2. How do I dismantle the connector? There appears to be a metal strap that needs to be undone.
