Sorry, didn't notice that this is a 1 day old car. I wouldn't try the Meguiar's-- I'd take it back to the dealer. Sounds like residue from the shipping tape/film, which they should be able to correct. SOme of my patches had impressions of wrinkles and bubbles, a pretty good sign that it was due to the tape. Dealer has probably encountered it before. Good luck.

<center><img src="http://131.107.68.28/a4org/blemish.jpg"></center><p>If your "blemish" looks something like mine did in this picture there is nothing to worry about. This is caused by moisture getting under the Rapgard covering that was on your A4 during shipment from Germany. The paint absorbs some moisture and looks like this. There is a TSB on this exact problem (<a href=http://tech.vw.com/audipdf/00-98-02.pdf>TSB 00-98-02</a>). You can either go to the dealer in which case they will swab some alcohol on the paint and then use a heat gun to draw out the moisture or you can just let mother nature dry it out for you over the course of a week or so. I did the latter and the blemish disappeared completely.

Hope this helps.

When I bought mine it had been keyed while on the lot (along with about 10 others)so the dealer had to repaint it with a lifetime warranty. have them fix it.
