Let's have some comments on the observations, scoring, etc. JIM H. 01-08-1999, 07:17 PM ...the discussion of the A4's steering/front suspension. It's the best description of what many mistakenly describe as "over-assisted steering." Also, note the 328's racetrack lap advantage: less than a QUARTER OF A SECOND at Buttonwillow Raceway. DaveL 01-08-1999, 07:35 PM Eric H. 01-08-1999, 08:19 PM Considering that BMW get so much right, it's nice to see they aren't infallible. I don't understand why they can't make a proper sport steering wheel. Not to mention the cluttered toy-robot look. john song 01-08-1999, 08:58 PM I haven't read this issue, but I do feel what you call "over-assited steering" on an A4. I personlaly think it is too light, am I missing something?<p> tHe uNaBimMeR 01-08-1999, 09:06 PM *BuTtOnWiLlOw* iS a pArKiNgLoT YoU FoOL!!!! G. As somebody said, if you can swing it get the S4. - peter Tony 09-17-1999, 12:57 PM PeteH 09-17-1999, 03:37 PM CW 09-17-1999, 05:07 PM Joseph Mann. He's the pres. of CenTexVWAudi. His email is jmann@living.com. They're primarily a VW club, but do have a couple Audi's. The last meeting myself and 4 other A4's from San Antonio went up there, we were practically the entire presence of Audi. Joseph is a great guy and the guys/girls I've met in that group are really nice. Also check out our gruppe in San Antonio sometime, STAG (S. Texas Audi Gruppe). Lets try to hook up one weekend. I Live @ 183 and McNeil so Rudy's is just around the corner. So far I've seen several A4's about. In particular there is a gorgeous green number running about with a nice set of after market rims (17in maybe?). Also noticed an almost salmon colored A4 last week. I was a little shocked because I had never seen that color. I'm driving a pearl white 1.8Tqms, Louisiana tags, sometimes sporting a colgan bra. I've upgraded to the TAP stage II chip (12.5 lbs of boost) and installed a jamex air filter. I'll be shopping around soon for an exhaust and possibly sway bars so I would love the opportunity to take a ride with someone who has either. Have you been in contact with any of the guys from the San Antonio gruppe? I was planning on trying to get in touch with them soon. I don't know if they have a meeting planned soon, but maybe we could all meet up and swap ideas. SpencerW |
