OK, I got the octane boost, no difference. So, I drove the car with no radio on, and it took a little time, about 25 more miles and then I heard it clearly. Yes, the DV honk, bottle sound. I was shocked, only had 450 miles on it! Gee, I thought I would get 1800 at least. The dealer knows about it and said Audi is working on it, but as usual, no date given. They ordered a replacement and should install it today. Car is in shop as of Wednesday because of another, unrelated problem.

But 450 miles, come on. I will order Bailey tomorrow, today I am too busy to write here and do that. Moved into my new apartment yesterday and got to unpack and buy some things.

Just thought I would give you an update. Guess QuaTTrochick was right, sorry for not believing you.

My 2001 225 QC also had the tell-tale honk for the first 1000 miles or so. At around 5000 miles, the sound has completely stopped under all driving/temperature conditions.

I've ordered the Forge DV from Stratmosphere few weeks ago and it has arrived already, but since my car has been sent down for ESP retrofit..the Forge just gotta wait...

literally as I was driving home I knew there was a problem. When you install Bailey is when you become a true believer of the OEM DV problem.
