As O2BNME noted we grouped ourselves with some S4's, a4's and the porsche's. We got split into pieces by the fall mountain traffic but one thing seems to be clear; these TT's are gaining much respect in the sports car enthusiast world. During and since the trip I have heard or read of praise from porsche drivers for the TT's performance and of course high quality design. I think the 911's I ran with, and those that were with Bill were somewhat surprised at the performance of these machines.

What I see is these cars earning the respect of other enthusiasts once they see what they can do, and they quickly realize that the TT is not just a looker.

Sure...it weighs 3400 pounds but, well, it just flies and IS very nimble. I can't help but remember how easy it was to handle on those mountain roads. I didn't even break a sweat.

I do wonder what the people we were sharing to road with thought of us. We must have been pretty obnoxious as we zipped on by the slower traffic.

her face. She was gripping the wheel with white knuckles and, I am sure, asking for divine guidance as 4 hot dogs went by.

As for the wt. Well it is a little heavy but look at why, it has all the creature comforts, airbags all over the place, and a stout structure. So yeh it is heavier than you could make it, but so what? As you said, it goes plenty fast, is nimble, fun to drive.

with, after I unintentionally joined the 'sTTray caTT' club. The Lotus, Acura and the Prowler where not able to pull away in the twisties :)))They were even more surprised, when they learned, that I was driving a FWD.
