Hello all

I wanted to ask a quick question. Below Andy raved about the Quality of the ride in AWE's A4 H&R coilovers setup. what I was wondering if other than the height adjustability, what is the advantage of coilovers as compared to some H&R springs and Bilstien Shocks?

Thank you all for any info, I have learned so much on this forum and the commentary is always entertaining. I am not in the VW/Audi fold as of yet/Honda accord!/ god forbid! but will soon make the jump. Thanks again.

...is that the springs and dampers (shocks) are matched to work perfectly together. To get this in a conventional spring/shock combo you'd have to get the shocks valved specifically for the spring rate. Or you could buy a set of the ABT springs and shocks which are sold as a matched set...but they're almost as expensive as the H&R's so I'd probably just go for the coil-overs.

Hey Andy,

Thanks for clearing that up, I too would prefer the "matching" of spring rates and valving, and When the $$ flow I will take the plunge.
Hey thanks for the write up on your AWE experience, It seem Garret is the way to go. I would love to hear about your H&R coilover thoughts once you get them, Unless I get to it first! ;)
