I now have to wait until *tomorrow* to pick up my 225QR, as they couldn't organise fetching it yesterday :(

It was bad ebough trying to sleep last night, tonight will be worse!

Mine is supposed to be here within a few days and I am going crazy also so I can imagine how you feel! I wonder how I'll feel when they tell me it will be here tomorrow like yours.

Last week, this week -- it's almost anticlimactic now. It was a "spur-of-the-moment" purchase, they said the car was at the port, and should be in "in a few days".

I guess. But the weather was changing, and I thought the all-wheel-drive would be fun - another winter in the SLK, wasn't.

Re: Impulse. I've heard SO many good things about the car, I got the itch to drive it. I was sold. Trading in a '99 SLK 5-sp.

Yep - tomorrow is the day. It's been "at the port" for at least a couple of weeks but now I know it's at the dealer - 'cause I went and looked at my (soon to be) 180 TTQC, in Aviator Gray . The color is one you don't see on anything else. Interestingly, it's a color that kinda screams "I'm not a toy car and I'm VERY German!"

Trading the '98 A6Q - a fabulous car even with the complaints about lack of power. (You can tell that doesn't interest me since I didn't go for the 225 TT.) I'll miss the A6 and it's comfort - especially the heated steering wheel up here in New England - and, yeah, I DID have to replace it once and that's why Audi only did heated steering wheels in 1998, I think. I'll miss the memory seats, and the right side mirror that automatically moves down when you put it in reverse. I'll miss the automatic dimming rear view mirror, too.

But - the TT is the coolest damn car on the road and I figure I deserve it after all these years. (I'm probably twice the age of most of you.)

Ordered July 5 - delivery tomorrow.

So - tomorrow is the day and I will sleep very little tonight. Good to know I can still get this excited about anything - look out wife!!

I'm getting to the dealer around 4:00, but wih the test-drive, delivery, etc, I probably won't get out of there until 5:30
