Im tempted to go with the 56" bars on my A4 sedan. Does anybody have the 66" bars? Are they too wide?

Im going to be carrying bikes and kayaks... maybe a Laser sailboat somewhere down the line.

Unless you have a specific reason for wanting the wider ones, I wouldn't do it. People will be bouncing their heads off them all them time otherwise. If you plan on cutting them down, get a pipe cutter. A hack saw will do a horrible job.

have had no problems. I originally had the rack on my Jetta and now the A4. The rubber strip that runs along the bottom of the fairing protects from scratches. There is a line that forms from the dirt but one wash and it is gone. The difference in wind noise is incredible and is absolutely worth the investment (especially if you have a sunroof). hope this helps.
