if you go after-market with your stereo, however, you lose the ability to use the built-in hands-free feature (which operates with the stock sound system).

i think the trade-off was worth it -- i have a fabulous stereo setup, but i have to attach my startac into an aftermarket hands-free unit that plugs into the cigarette lighter -- and which is clear inferior to the built-in one.
