My dealer will not do any custom programming for the windows etc., but did the program that allows the car to lock at 10mph and unlock when turning off the ignition. It's a nice convenience. Also the car feels stronger now with [actually] 9,000 miles on it.

Yea, I just had mine in for lock re-programming (which is a nice addition) and to fix a leaky tranny (at 5k miles...).. and they would not program the windows... Has anyone gotten permission from AOA to have their windows programmed?

I had my car in for 5k service and gave them the code # for the "package" which included automatic locking/unlocking, one-touch unlock w/ the remote, and widow control with the remote. They did it no-charge, no questions asked.

I brought in the code list I printed out from the a4.org FAQ and the dealer's Audi technician goofed around until he got what I wanted, no questions asked. I have one touch unlock of all doors and if I hold the Unlock button on the remote all the windows drop (great on hot days) plus if I hold the Lock button the windows and roof will close. Check out the FAQ if you haven't already for the codes.

I hope to have the locks and windows programmed. I guess I'm confused about the process. Don't they just have to enter one code number? I mean, if I just wanted the locks done they would enter a certain code number. If I wanted the whole package they would enter a different number, right?

I don't see why this would be an issue (at least that will be my reasoning to the service manager if necessary). I'll be taking my car to Rusnak Pasadena. Anyone have experience with them regarding this?
