a detector is just to tell you to slow down and pull over, there is no time to react. First hand experience.

If you can beat radar, you can beat laser. You use the same techniques and approaches. They are fallible mechnical devices operated by fallible humanoids of sometimes questionable skill. Frankly, this is exactly why there are lawyers.

I joked with a buddy after borrowing his laser detector that the only thing it was good for was to alert that you just got a ticket..
I drove by many cops shooting laser with it and it never went off...
I was hoping the V1 might be different but how could it be it's laser light it doesn't refelect everywhere like radar waves.

There are legal means of fighting laser, not all courts except it as evidence. Check out the National Motorists Association for info, don't know the web site addr.
