Here is the info:

AUDI AG has established during inspections of Audi A4 models that the track rod ends of the front axle may leak, thus causing premature wear.


As a precautionary measure, the company is therefore requesting the owners of Audi A4/A6/A8 models from part of the 1998 model year to bring their vehicles back to the workshop. The inspection or replacement of the track rods will, of course, be free of charge for the customers concerned. For further information, the company has set up a hotline with the telephone number (+49) 800/28347378423.

Letters will be going out the next 14 days to
the owner.
