If you wind-out each gear to about 6K RPM and climb thru all 5/6 gears (180, 225, chipped, unchipped) how smooth does your motor accelerate. 1st gear. Not too bad, no torque until 2500 rpm, then zips up to 4 or 4.5k with a deffinant build up around 3500.

2nd gear. this is where it is most notchy, a stumble at 3500 to 4000, different spots each time.

3rd gear. Nothing really noticible most of the time, same place when it happens

4,5,6 not noticible.

Now I drive like an old lady most of the time and since it is now just broken in I havent hot rodded around a lot.

Honks occasionally in mild use. Surges intermitently in hard throttle about 2800-3k. Not consistent with anything other then I've learned it will do it more often then not.
