Since I self installed InvincaShield 3M ScotchCal film on my TT last year, I have had zero stone
chips or scratches; plain water cleans off smashed bugs and I am generally a very happy
camper with this product and resultant pristine condition of my TT's front-end.

I ordered a second kit for my wife's car just as the InvincaShield franchise was going out
of business, unbeknownst to me. So, no product but a Visa charge appeared on my bill
which I have currently disputed. After calling the people that bought out the franchise, I
was informed that that they will not honor previous sales and, if I wished, they would
send a kit but, only if I prepaid by check or money order. Burned once, but not twice. I
have called several times to place and order COD and each time have been instructed to
leave my number and they will return my call. Three calls and no return call. I expect
based on their current business practices, this franchise will soon be out of business as
well.

I called StoneGard and received an immediate answer and placed an order for their kit.
They offer the same 3M ScotchCal film and, as far as warranty and service, I expect that
they will be in business to honor any claims that I may have.

I'm still a solid believer in the 3M ScotchCal film clear bra protection but I am now a
convert to the StonGard vendor.

I have talked with the owner of Stongard (local company for me) and was very impressed. They are interested in the long haul. Really great guy to talk to.

I too installed the invincashield product on my 180 TTQ last December when I bought it. I was very upset to read your post about the company going out of business. I just got the call today that my wifes long awaited TT roadster was in and ready for pickup this Tuesday. I was going to place an order with invincashield tomorrow. I looked into the stoneguard product at the same time I found the invincashield product last December. The stoneguard was about twice as expensive and did not have nearly as many pieces as the invincashield did. The primary one the stoneguard does not have is the piece that runs along the rocker panels and wraps over the door sill, an area that is very easy to scuff and scratch when entering the car. If anybody has any recent info on the stoneguard product and the coverage areas please post it.

Thanks

Please call Debbie at StonGard 800-350-4897 extension20 for assistance. They may have the rocker covers now. Tell her Peter Kennison referred you and mention the price difference between InvincaShield and StoneGard kits.

because it is a thicker film. Its also supposed to be more difficult to ihstall, but I dont have direct experience with it, since I had a window-tinter apply Invincashield to my A4 and TT.

I agree with you, though, great product overall.
