yes, tours are available Mon-Fri 9-2, on the hour.
the last about 45 mins, starting and ending at
the main reception bldg. That is Bldg 1, accessed through Gate 1
in Ingolstadt. When you exit the Autobahn, take the exit for
"Ingolstadt", North NOT South, and at the light, turn
right, then follow the small AUDI signs to the factory
complex. turn right into the main complex, and the
building is on the right, next to a large parking lot.
This bldg houses a gift shop and a showroom.
ck in w/ the receptionist (she speaks english, but the tours are in german....
hope this helps....telephone 08 41/89-1241, if you need help (Audi)
mark

First of all, the tour was in English when I went. But I visited the factory when the Audi 100 was the main line production, not the B chassis A4/A6. A big deal was made of the Audi Cabriolet, but now that car is also out of production. I've taken seven factory tours:
Porsche Factory (993, 928, 968)
Audi Factory
BMW Factory
Mercedes Factory
Corvette Factory
Neon Factory
Porsche Factory (996, Boxster)
Incidentally, when I took the Porsche Factory Tour, our tour guide (after many people asking many times) finally confessed that the factory was only producing one or two 928's a day and one 968 per day. It was during the production spooldown when I was in 7th grade. Now I'm a junior in high school, if you want to do the math.
Cameron

Hi,
Have anyone tried to put back the window (and roof rack for Avant) silver trim back to a 1.8T ?
I like 1.8T but I like silver trim too ! Is there any aftermarket stuff out there ? Or can you ask dealer to put it on ?
Clarence
Think about a 1.8T QMS Avant

In a post from several months ago someone posted that there is a kit 8DO 698 998 that has larger brake dust shields for anyone complaining of loss of braking in wet, slush, or salty conditions. The post stated the only problem is that the drive hubs must be removed to install kit & once they go that deep things are never the same. I have the same dangerous problem & will check w/ my dealer this Monday re the kit. ATE rotors & Rofren pads did not help, occasional riding of the brake does.
