I was thinking of getting the Performance package for the A4 2.8 does anyone know if it is worth it or not?

I bought a used 2.8 non-sport and the ride is too soft for my tastes...body roll, dive, and squat. I will be upgrading springs/shocks soon. From what I hear, the sport package was a good deal but not sure how much it costs now. I did ride in a 1.8T sport and it was much tighter in the turns. I'd get it.

If yes, then absolutely get it. The cars is solid, but I have not thought the ride is harsh at all. Just got mine last weekend. I included below the post that I wrote on Monday. In it I talk about the suspension, etc.

IMO, the Sport Package is definitely worth the bucks. I had a 98.5 A4 2.8QM (may it RIP) without the sport package. It has been replaced by a 99.5 A4 2.8QMS. The sport package is just the ticket for turning a great car into a fantastic and fun ride.

On the A4 2.8, it absolutely is. The tire upgrade alone (unless they've changed it) is worth the cost, not to mention the wheels, suspension, and cool steering wheel.

It's the best $400 ( it's still 400 isn't it? ) you'll spend on the car. No if and's or buts.

Sport Package, don't buy an A4 without it. ;-)
