While driving 65mph on the Freeway today with the A/C on, the car suddenly jerked/judder and stalled! The oil indicator was flashing, the AT gearbox lights were blinking as if it were X-mas and the check engine light came on and off.

I had to get off the freeway and crawled to the side. I turned off the key and pondered for few seconds what I should do. I got out, popped the hood and everything looked fine. I checked
the oil level and that was fine too. Well, what the heck I said, went back in the car and cranked it. ! it started ok, as if nothing had happened! Obviously I was to too chicken **** to carry on
driving to my destination which was about 40miles away. Made a U turn and headed straight
to Rector Motor, my Audi dealer. They can't tell what's wrong w/o a technician looking into it.
Made an appt for Tues, for a 75K service and to figure what exactly happened.
Well, A4-ers; what gives?

The saga continues............

Just drive carefully and with a car phone till then. Could be a relay some where but at least the car restarted.

.... when I was going at 130mph in Montana last summer. At that time, the car had 7000 miles on the clock. The car shut off and after a few seconds came back on. I didn't even have the time to pull over.

Never happened again.
