If you ever wondered just how transparent the 3M ScotchCal product (marketed by InvincaShield, Amorfriend and others as computer cut kits) would look on your TT, look very closely at YOUR door handle. A small piece of what I assume to be the same stuff is applied to the outside door handle of TTs to prevent scratches from rings, etc.

Interesting. On mine I see a verty fine line, at top and bottom, similar to a paint masking line that runs horizontally along each outside door handle. At close inspection, I am certain that what I am seeing is the 3M film. VW also uses this film on the Passat rear wheel flare, standard. My TT is a 180FWD, purchased in late June 99. Maybe thay dropped it on the Quattros.
