We bought a 99.5 1.8TQMS last month and after 2K miles 3rd gear is grinding when shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear during hard acceleration. I took the car to the dealership and they want to pull the transmission and open it up to see if there is a cracked synchro. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
