I have a number of black streaks around the running board area by the doorway on my Aviator Grey TT? I can't tell if it is oil or maybe shoe polish from shoes being rubbed against paint when getting out of the car. I washed the car this weekend, but no luck with car wash soap. Any recommendations? Is this something that a detailer would be able to take out?

Same problem. Have always come off with elbow grease and my car wash sponge. Good wax on the area helps a lot.

It is a product, generally available in paint stores, manufactured by Guardsman Products. Tis water based. Haven't used it on my TT but have used it on other vehicles with no problems.

It's worked for me on all sorts of marks over the years. Not as aggressive as rubbing compound.

Same thing happen to me, got some alcohol from the farmacy and rub (hard) with a cotton cloth and goes away for sure
