we just ordered our very own TT today. thanks for all your input. we're anxiously awaiting delivery. expected by jan. 2000...

in preparation for the snowy lake tahoe winter (the SL is staying in san fran) we are looking at Blizzak MZ-01.

anyone experienced with these? other snow tires? how’z the handling / performance?

I plan on a little skid pad work and such up in the Cascade Mountains this weekend...I'll let you know.

Have been driving them on all kinds of snow for the last two months. Also satisfied with the Blizzaks which I have mounted on another vehicle, BUT they are terribly noisy which is why I tried the Yoko''s for the TTQ.

I don't know which deserves the most credit: quattro (first Audi) or tires (have not had the car with performance tires under these conditions or anything close to it b/4). Pulling grip was excellent and stopping ability under hard pressed conditions was the BEST I have experienced. Carefully noted others struggled while I had very good control. I could move, dodge and dart away from their spinning and sliding. EXCELLENT test conditions today.
