I got the bad news yesterday from my dealer.....I have a bent front axel. There is only one axel available "in the world" and it is at least 2 weeks away...The work is fully covered under warranty, but no one at Audi can figure out how it happened. There was no accident, pothole or towing involved that could have caused this. The only thing I can think of is "axel tramp", as was originally described in the R&T review last November. I can make the car skip two or three times during a quick 0-60 acceleration...The front end wobble was first evident after a recent 0-60 launch. This is obviously acceptable behavior for the TT, but I wanted to let everyone know what happened so you can watch for any potential problems with your cars. At least I got a Maxima to hold me over while the work is being done.....even that is no consolation..:-(

The car started to shimmy at speeds of 30-40 mph....As the speed increased, the car would stabilize but it was still shaky...I took it in the very next morning, and the tech said it was a good thing I did....
