Totalled my beloved A4 a week ago (shared the road with a motorhome so to speak) while on CA20 north of San Francisco. The engine, rear, and right sides of the car were not damaged. The car had just had its 7500 mile service (:-(( I have no idea what the remains are worth, but would like to make the most of them without going into the second hand parts business. Any ideas on how to proceed?, what the 'bits' might be worth?

I'm sure he will have some advice to offer.
I can e-mail you if you want to know what I paid for some of the parts...
Sorry to hear about your car - will you replace it with something similar?
Will the insurance company let you keep the car?
Are you thinking of selling the parts or the whole car? - since first you said you don't want to go into the second hand parts business, but then you asked what the 'bits' might be worth...
Sorry for all the questions.
You would be surprised what parts people will be interested in.
I would be sure to post the colour and options of your car if you are canvassing for interested buyers.
If you are willing to sell rims as singles (since I imagine one or two have been destroyed) I might be interested in one or two 7-spoke sport rims once I refurbish my account...
Did you have sport seats?

usually they send it straight to auction.
Let me know. I would be interested in some parts too!
