Has anyone aaded a cd player to the standard concert audi radio? I would like to do this without cluttering the cabin.

I talked to my salesman about this before I took over someone else's order that already had the Bose system installed.<p>What I was going to do was get the standard stereo and order the CD changer separately. It's the same one that goes in the A4. You can just order it by itself, from the dealer, as if yours broke. And just have the dealer install it in your TT, in the stock (Bose) location.<p>My salesman thought it'd be around $350. Much less than the crappy $1,200 Bose/Kraco system.

I think there is a compartment access door located behind the drivers seat in the lower side panel - this is where the CD changer is stored ( as not to clutter ) Although this door was found on the N.M. limited ed. TT - it may not be the case for all versions. Good Luck !

As mentioned on several occasions, I have added the stock Panosonic CD player used in the A4 to my TT. It was installed by my dealer in the compartment behind the panel in the rear behind the driver's side for aprox. $480.00 (US). It is compatible with the base "head unit" that comes standard on the car. They did a first rate job, and I am satisfied with the resulting setup. As I have said before, it's not concert hall realism, but the car quality comes before the sound quality, I saved $700.00, and can upgrade later if I wish, when various aftermarket manufacturers have designed compatible systems.

If you don't order the Bose system, what speakers come in the TT?

Does anyone else find it odd that the Random function on the CD changer is random only on the disk and not a true shuffle function. Playing the tracks in a random order is sort of meaningless in my opinion.

My 1994 Lexus had a true Shuffle on the CD changer but our Explorer had one like the TT...No true shuffle.

Also upset that I can't use the fader on the Bose system. I prefer sounds from the rear when I drive and since noone sits back there I would love to move it to the back and crank it up.
