My wife took delivery of our A4 while I was in Japan 10 months ago. After I rushed back to see our new car, and, uh, my wife, I noticed the drivers floor was somewhat springy, and slightly raised. In my rush to drive it, I didn't look further and forget about it. Duh. Last night, I was under the car to drain out excess oil that Anderson-Behel yet again overfilled, and I noticed with horror that the floor pan under the drivers feet was all dented up, with a 3 inch rip in the sheet metal. Foam carpet padding was sticking out. 2 brake line brackets were all screwed up, but the lines themselves not apparently damaged. The damage did not look recent, and did not appear to have been caused from road debris while moving, and we know we never hit anything. It looked like a hoist or jack accident, or from unloading off the ship. The car has been at the dealer for service 4 times, and at Wheelworks once. The service dealer is different than the delivery dealer.

My delima is that we took delivery 10 months ago from Rector Audi in Burlingame, how do I get them to own up to it?

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

whether they caused it or not. This may help you determine the date this occurred.
