I fixed my nav for $400,new antenna and what not. Then had spillage and stopped working a week later. My mechanic did vagcom and said internal error. I was ready to give up and look into alternatives of nav plus or aftermarket. Today,out of nowhere it picked up sats. again and worked perfectly. It's raining quite a bit...sometimes the weather does weird things. I 'm thinking maybe a short somewhere. Any ideas or suggestions would be great.

It basically tells you exactly what is wrong and how to fix it. The sat nav system is super simple, GPS antenna, drive in trunk, CAN wires to instrument cluster, other wires to controller switch and controller switch. That's it.
