View Full Version : Replacing factory speakers..Need Recommendations

Just wondering if anyone has any advice on swapping out the factory speakers. I have an existing pair of MB Quart 6.5" coaxials, as well as a pair of Quart 5.25" coaxials from an old car.
My A4 does not have the Bose system. It appears to have a 4" component system in the front, and 6.5" coaxials in the back. I tried to replace the 6.5's in the back this weekend, and my Quarts were too big. Any recommendations on what to do? I did notice on MB's webpage that they sell adaptors to put 5.25"ers in the front doors. Does this work?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. If I posted this to the wrong Forum, I apologize.

Thanks, Matt

Using the adapters form MB Quart, I've got RSB 215's (5.25") in front and RSB 160's (6.5") in
the back.My fronts are seperates, but I think the 5.25" coaxials should fit OK too. Just check
your mounting depth, make sure it doesn't interfere with the window.
