I've been screwed over by my dealer one too-many times and my car has not even shipped yet. If any of you reside in Ontario AVOID BRAMGATE VW\AUDI AT ALL COSTS. It took me 2 weeks just to get someone to treat me like a human being (I know I'm only 19 but c'mon) the staff know squat about the cars and I've been bounced around to 4 different sales people each one needing me to repeat my order and resign forms. Unfortunatly for me this is the only dealer in my area so I'm stuck :(

I know what you must have gone through. I went there and told them exactly what I wanted and I was ready to put my money down. All they had to do was find me the car with exaclty the car I wanted. I didn't even bother them with a test drive.
When it came time to do the deal they kept on forcing me to take the only car that they had with my specs. The only thing was it was in Blue. I didn't mind what the colour its just that my previous car was also blue. After 8 phone conversations I told them find me the colour I want in a 99 or 98 and I'll even wait for it. But they still tried to force me to clear out their remaining stock.
Well I went over to Agincourt and told them what I wanted. They didn't have it and couldn't find it for me but told to look around the lot and see if any of the ones there were right for me. I liked the way they worked, stright up no BS. They gave me a great price (lower than Bramgate) and now I have a great A4 in Cactus Green. It was so simple.
Well I'm just venting....
If you're still looking. Send me an email and I'll set you up with someone who'll probably get you a great deal in Toronto.

I think that inferior service for young people is pretty much the rule as opposed to the exception. When I bought my 99.5, almost every dealer I went to didn't take me seriously until I made pointed inqiries about specific cars w/specific options being on the lot (ie. really wanted to buy). I find that once you show them you're serious however (read: wher the hell's the money coming from?!?!) it's usually no problem Oh yeah, I'm 22.
Don't give up on Bramgate - i think it's also JET's favourite dealer in the Torontoland area.
Cheers,
mark
I'm 23, bought the car last year when I was 22...only thing is I just went in with my dad, and that changed everything. I was treated fairly and with respect, got a great deal too. Had 3 services there, all with no problems.
I think it's to be expected that younger people don't necessarily get treated the best...it's not right, but it's to be expected. I know lots of guys that go to dealers, just screw around with the cars when they test drive them etc...
I dealt with Brad Johnston (son of the owner), and he was great. I've also heard Dean Turner is good there. Both are very knowleadgeable about the cars they sell...
