I found an 02 A8L being parted out, got the multi function steering wheel control module out of it.....was $275 at my local dealer, $210 at Riverside Audi and I got it for $110 shipped from a part out.

It's hard to find a factory Bluetooth module, they come up for sale on the Nav Plus forum, almost had one, but the guy sold it.....but in the end, it was coming from Europe, and with shipping and PayPal fees, it was more than I could get it from Riverside.

I contacted Riverside after seeing that they sell parts at a discount, my local dealer quoted me $475, Riverside was $407 plus actual UPS costs, which will be about $10.

You also need a little antenna, which I think is about $15 which I ordered. Wow! New is cheaper than used!

When I do my timing belt, I will consider all OEM parts if Riverside or somewhere else has good prices. I know OEM parts are more, but I have never had one problem with them. And they do come with a 12 month warranty.

I still need the socket to install the MFSW control module and pins to put in the socket, I will buy those locally at the dealer.

All this is pretty expensive, but if I'm going to do it, now's the time.

When are you going to do your timing belt? Perhaps I can make the trip back out to Chicagoland and we can knock two of them out at the same time... Can't hurt to ask, right? :-)

and of course we all know you are, the sooner the better. You'll soon be grinning from ear to ear for miles to come. Although you've been pretty good so far, we still need more pics!
