I have a '97 1.8t without the Bose upgraded Stereo package. I have heard that the Bose Packages have speakers in the rear door panels. Is this true?

If so, is it possible to obtain the speaker grill and speaker brackets from an Audi dealership and place them on my car?

I noticed a hole in my speaker grill shortly after I bought the car and went to the dealer to get it replaced. When the dealer ordered the Bose speaker grill, they were told 6 weeks for replacement and that they had to pull one off of a car on the production line to supply me with the grill. By the way, they have to pull the whole door panel off to replace the grill.

Rear door grills can be ordered from Clair Parts(something around $15). However mounting non-Audi rear speakers is a pain. There are no brackets and Audi speakers have non-standard flange and bolt patterns. This requires making custom adapters.
