Here I was last week ready to fly from the Northeast to Milwaukee (around 800 miles) when along came storms and power outages and three days of cancelled flights. When I found out at the airport that my vacation was about to be cancelled by the airlines I decided to hop in the 8 and drive there with my son. No time for oil changes or pre-trip, we literally left from Syracuse airport where I was planning on parking for the week.

No problems, except the guy in the hat driving a Crown Vic somewheres in Ohio. Seems he took exception to my rate of speed while I manoevered around some obnoxious lane-hogging punks in a riced out POS. I managed to keep a straight face when I told him: "90? I didn't think this thing would do 90." He seemed more interested in collecting his taxes than catching what appeared to be impaired kids... but whatever. I don't live in Ohio. Those Ohio revenuer boys are pretty busy fining travelers and pissing off tourists.

Well, on we went, soon to be in Indiana where the speed limit is higher and the State boys much nicer, and the govt is lesser (I used to live there). All the rest of the trip there and back- no problems. The 8 went great. Never fear to put a couple of thousand miles on it. And with the supportive seats you get where you are going without needing a chiropracter.

I imagine the airlines have to give full refunds for cancelled flights. Anybody know for sure?
