I plan on chipping my a4 withing a few months but I don't have the money yet, however i have the money for the filter. A.) which one should i get and B.) will it do anything without the chip? Thanks.

wait until I get the APR chip and ECU kit next month - it comes with a K&N filter. Most of the chip packages come with a filter so you'd probably be better off waiting. I'd go with the K&N if you need one now, as I've heard some nasty things about cleaning the other ones (gooey mess). I wouldn't expect much power gain from any of them, especially w/o the chip. Maybe a bit quicker turbo spool-up, MAYBE.

with Wett. I didn't notice any difference at all. I haven't tried the car with the chip an not the filter, but I doubt if it would be noticeable.

I beleive I am getting better filtration -- that's it.
